Texas has a long progressive history. Texas launched the 1800's populist movement with the National Farmers Alliance. Texas produced the progressive populist giants, Sam Rayburn, Lyndon Johnson & others, that authored the Great Society and several Civil Rights bills. Recently, the Texas Democratic Party led the nation with progressive platforms and policies. We work to continue this history.
